  • In the below you can find some of the events where I presented my educational story.

Lecture on 'Technology in Antiquity' at training center Addisco

    During the 'Week of the Classics', I presented a didactic story at Addisco about security with locks, torsion artillery, and the quadrivium. Addisco is a didactic temple in Hilversum (the Netherlands) where the ancient languages ​​come to life again.

    This presentation was organised by Addisco , the Dutch Classical Association and the Friends of the Gymnasium.


    Nerdland Festival

      Nerdland Festival is an annual science festival in Belgium with more than 20,000 visitors. The common denominator is a passion for technology and science, which makes the interaction with the audience a great experience.


      Beveren and Sint-Niklaas (heritage activities)

        Together with the Waasland Hertitage Cell and the municipal heritage department of Sint-Niklaas I brought my didactic story in the rustic setting of the renovated chapel of the Hof Ter Welle heritage house in Beveren. In Nieuwkerken-Waas, we reclaimed the archaeological site of the 'Menapiërspark'.


        Gallo-Roman museum (Tongeren)

          In the shadow of the Gallo-Roman museum of Tongeren, Roman culture came to life under the watchful eye of more than 10,000 visitors.


          Augusta Raurica (Switzerland)

            In Augusta Raurica (Switzerland), a large-scale annual Roman festival consistently attracts more than 10,000 visitors. Every participation constitutes an immersive experience where the festival visitors are the exception and ancient Rome is the standard.


            a-maze school (Beverlo / Beringen)

              Visiting the a-maze school in Beverlo / Beringen.


              Municipal secondary education Groenhout (Antwerp)

                In the beautiful buildings of the Groenhout municipal secondary school Groenhout in Antwerp, the technical classroom temporarily transformed into the study of a Roman architect.


                Sint-Joris Institute (Basel)

                  At the Sint-Joris Institute in Basel, I presented an interactive story all day. The students were allowed to look around on the tables, select their objects of interest and this way shape themselves the didactic story.


                  In the media

                    The Roman campaigns paved the way for an interview with Plus magazine. The reproduction of a counting disc (tessera) attracted attention during a Radio 2 interview. Filming took place for The Story of Flanders, the VTM series 'F*** You Very, Very Much' (S02 A6), and a promotional film for the archeologische site of Aubechies.
